Matt and Chantal McGee
Matt and Chantal McGee moved to Cimarron, Colorado in 2004 to start Sonrise Mountain Ranch. Before following a call into vocational ministry, Matt and Chantal both served as U.S. Air Force pilots for several years. After their time in the Air Force, Matt attended Denver Seminary completing a Masters of Divinity program and Chantal began homeschooling their children. The McGees now have six children: Maddison, Abby Grace, Rebekah, Eden, Zeke, and Vivian Joy.
Roger and Val Drown
Roger and Val joined the SMR staff in March of 2012. Roger spent the previous twenty-five years building custom homes in Boulder and Montrose, Colorado. He uses his building experience as the Facilities Manager here at SMR. Val served as Director of Children’s Ministry at Grace Community Church, and office manager of R.D. Construction before joining SMR as the Operations Assistant. Roger and Val have six adult children.
Frank and Jan Farlow
Frank and Jan Farlow, from Houston, first joined the Sonrise team during the summer/fall of 2011 and are returning this summer to serve in the kitchen. Jan is our lead cook and Frank helps in the kitchen and on other projects as needed. They have 5 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grand children with more to come.
They love to see God's Kingdom expand in the hearts of His people.
Brandon and Anne Cox
Brandon and Anne are newlyweds as of May 4, 2013, and are excited to be working alongside one another as the Director and Assistant Director of Youth and Children's Programming. They are recent graduates of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Brandon graduated with a bachelor's of Psychology and Anne with Economics. In the fall they will return to Durango as staff members of Master Plan Ministries, a ministry serving and discipling college students.
Joshua McDowell
Joshua is from Colorado Springs and is currently enrolled in college at Louisiana State University-Shreveport. He is a returning intern at SMR from the summer of 2011. Joshua has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with others, expanding the kingdom of heaven in the hearts of men, and is looking forward to serving families again this summer.
Mary Boyle
Mary Boyle was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. For the past year she's been a part of the LIFT leadership and discipleship program in upstate New York. Mary has an Associates Degree in Anthropology and plans on pursuing a bachelors degree in Middle Eastern Studies with a minor in Arabic from Florida State University. She loves going on adventures, exploring new places, and meeting new people.
Bryce Baker
Bryce Baker is currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point, and will be attending the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire next fall to pursue vocal music and business. He is from Lodi, WI, a small town close to Madison, WI. He is very excited for the upcoming summer at SMR.
