"Scheduling What Matters Most"

In our day and age, we hear the motto quite often, "First things first." Yet it may be the most challenging time ever to truly live this out. Most people feel the tug of what seems a never-ending list of requests, opportunities, and commitments. We can subtly fall prey to deceptive thinking: "I can do it all, be it all, and have it all." Jesus knew we needed Him to clarify things for us: "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness" (Matthew 6:33). Paul's life gives us an example: " But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize" (Phil 3:13-14). We hear these words and deeply desire to see the most important things happening in our lives.
