Summer 2013 Assistant Cook
Position Description:
SMR will hire two Assistant Cooks to assist the Lead Cook in our food service operation. The Assistant Cook will help with inventory and shopping prior to each retreat and meal preparation and cleanup during the retreats. The cooks will prepare meals based on set meal plans. The cooks will normally prepare between 1 and 3 meals a day during retreats for 40-60 adults and children:
Primary duties:
- One meal on the first and last day of a retreat
- Two or three meals on all the other days of a retreat
Start Date: May 20, 2013
End Date: Can range from August 16 to September 30, 2013
Qualifications:
A commitment to follow Christ
A desire to serve the Lord in a family ministry
Ability to follow directions from a Lead Cook and work with a small team
Ability to inventory supplies, follow recipes, and wash dishes
Compensation:
$800 - $1200 per month based on experience, plus housing, utilities, and all meals
1 or 2 weeks paid vacation, depending on duration of employment
